greetings from philadelphia!!~
glad i managed to reach in time to attend ed's convo!
felt so lost at JFK terminal,
firstly the darn long time to clear customs,
screw-ups by the bus co tt was supposed to pick me up,
no coins to make phonecalls,
and the many spoilt phones, stuck slots when i finally managed to exchange for some!
but alas, after ed called to scream at them,
they arrived on time to pick me up:)

Went for a nice celebratory dinner at Buddakan, one of the my fav restaurants ard..
why the name? i'll show u picts later!
the food's great! :)
e chef has some pretty amazing creations,
ingredients u'd nv thought would blend so well together!

factory outlet shopping and Mexican food at Atlantic City yest..
managed to control the spending ;p
i'd better..
heh
else i'd haf to eat grass for the nxt few weeks!

visited the Amish County today
Quaint town, beautiful cottages,
cows grazing,
horse carriages as their mode of transport
unique lifestyle..
very unique in fact!
The Amish doesnt use electricity at all!
coz they feel it'll bring more evil than good
(think computers, TV, gadgets etc.)
they spend their days working in farms,
girls sewing quilts at home,
go to church.
more picts soon,
not the Amish,
we werent allowed to take picts of them.
according to the guide,
its nt coz they dun wan us to,
but becoz of their religion.
they prob have to repent in church if they allow us to.
interesting eh?
i love the countryside,
seriously wldnt mind living here,
ok prob nt here but somewhere similar where using electricity IS not a sin :)
ed tinks he'll be bored to death
haha

finally finished packing for Peru.
the bag feels like its gonna burst any moment!
the winter stuff's taking so much space!
i tink i'll haf to do laundry every other day coz i'm only bringin few tees
but yeah, like we both agreed,
its gonna be a rough-it-out adventure trip,
we're gonna be dirty, sweaty n super lok-kok...
but who cares!
a hike on the inca trail in Macchu Pichu,
homestay at one of the villages in Cusco,
white water rafting, etc.
itinerary's half planned,
gonna do the rest when we get there.

feeling abit tired,
jet-lagged,
headache,
pms-y
skin shrivelling like prunes,
popping pimples..

yet,

very excited bout the trip!!
it'll prob be tiring, challenging
but very fun & exciting!
cant wait!

yay i had McGriddles for breakfast yest!
ed half-grudgingly acede to my request for mac ;)
he hates mac
but cant resist eating
coz its only available here!
Bah

just viewed BB's test results online,
reminded me of this sem's results release in less than a mth's time
*sighz*

miss u all back home!

Random thoughts..

  • its polling day tmr! i'm excited. have been trying to keep up with the rallies on news, i wish i had the chance to excercise my voting rights.
  • i'm so addicted to tv these weeks. Women of Times & Da Chang Jin. even some variety shows are appealing.
  • looking forward to all the meet-ups after exams
  • fell in love with Bibimbap
  • i want a picture of myself in a hanbok
  • am so looking forward to the summer break :)
  • congrats dear, once again, i'm proud of you.
  • he got offline so fast tt i havent had a chance to ask him wat i wanted to
  • clubbing? should i? hmm...
  • meeting choy tmr to study, glad i'm seeing more of her this sem!
  • still considering what to get for mummy
  • gotta start packing, real soon.
  • many pretty sites for accessories online. am soOo inspired to make my own. someone accompany me to Arab st & chinatown pls...
  • pls let the usd depreciate further

here's wat i've been doing the past weeks...

sleep, study, eat, sleep, study.... u get e point.

super bored..
but its gona end! haha my final paper on monday :)
so looking forward.. love the relief after exams!
but of coz, there's still the WIL. report & presentaion, so its nt slack week yet.

few days back, there was this prog on e radio station,
appealing for people with ONS to call in to share their views
(wat a weird topic eh? interesting nonetheless)
until this guy, oops. creature i mean
called in to share his countless ONS experiences
tt freak actually sounded real proud of himself!!!
*PUI*
*pui pui*
he had so many tt he lost count
and his friends, apparently, are like him too.
he even went on to comment,
"a man who's never had a ONS is not a real man"
WTF??!!
its these lousy people that make women lose faith.

anyway, he kena dumped by his wife, divorced.
he can jolly well carry on with his "fun" till he gets aids someday.
he ought to be castrated.
